The food was decent . The portion of the food very small . I had two drinks . One was a strawberry martini virgin . I didn’t want it and nor drink it . I asked to remove it off my billed replied they couldn’t . The mango martini was not strong. so the price of everything was not worth it . But definitely left a 15% for the server. He was good server .

I would give zero if I could but that’s not an option. First time eating at tacos and tequila- based on the reviews here I wasn’t expecting amazing food to begin with but I just wanted some tacos so I thought what can go wrong with just tacos. At the end of the day it’s a mexican restaurant !! Well .. things can go very wrong when the beef tacos I ordered were charted . I took a bite and asked my boyfriend what he thought. He agreed. I called the waiter and complained, he offered to replace the order.. so far nothing wrong . He takes my plate and the main plate, and returns few minutes later saying they would replace just one taco because the other two we had already started eating( sure had to take a bite ). I was shocked, and in absolute disbelief . He did replace the one taco ! Short story , if you go there expect bad food, and poor costumer service, not even an apology. For ordinary food there are 3 or 4 other Mexican restaurants in the same block. Maybe you may not have amazing food but perhaps better costumer service.

A nice cozy spot to have delicious food & drinks. The menu selection is great. They offer a variety of Mexican dishes that I love such as the chicken verde enchiladas, Chile relleno and tacos of course! I was a bit surprised by the prices being a bit higher than what I am used to for a Mexican restaurants with similar cuisine. However, the portions and quality of food softened the blow of the check. You can’t deny they know how to cook. The drinks were strong and flavorful as well. I would recommend this spot for a casual dining experience.

Tacos and Tequila reminded us of our trip to Mexico City. The food was not your usual tacos and enchiladas but more authentic choices. And it was extremely well prepared, seasoned, flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. I had Camarones de Mexicana, large shrimp with peppers, onions, jalapeños. and my husband enjoyed Carne Asada smothered in onions. They have a lovely room in the back. The service was excellent. If you’re tired of the same old menu, try this restaurant. And have a custom drink while you’re there.

We really enjoyed our meal at Tacos & Tequila. We came here on a Saturday night as we wanted a local Mexican spot. Ambiance: The restaurant looks a lot smaller than it actually is. There is a back section that is very cutely decorated and feels very in theme with a Mexican spot. Drinks: They have a lot of drink options and they are definitely strong drinks. Our margaritas were very reasonably priced and considering they were strong and also delicious, we had no complaints. They also have "large" size drinks. We didn't try it this time but plan to the next time we go back. My husband also commented that he loves places that will give you a iced beer glass. He was very happy when he got his bottle of beer but then had an iced glass to pour it into. Food: The menu is very extensive and there are a lot of different food options. As a vegetarian I was very impressed with the amount of veggie options that existed. They also had soyrizo, veggie tinga, and veggie pastor. I have yet to find all three at any Mexican spot in the city. I could not have been happier with all the options to pick from. The food was delicious and tasted fresh. We had the flautas, tostadas, and street tacos. All three entrees were well seasoned and tasted great. They also gave us salsas and one of them was so perfectly spicy, I was happy. Service: The staff was very nice and considerate. Service was fast but we never felt rushed. The food did take a while to come out but after tasting it I understood it's because everything is fresh and made only after an order is placed. Instagram Handle: @TheShahLALand

This place took roughly a month to drive me away. Just moved down the block, spent more than $500 on several meals, brought friends. Tonight, after sitting for 15 minutes alone to order food and spotting someone’s happy hour drink, I was told I couldn’t have it at EXACTLY 7:01pm, a MINUTE past happy hour. I even pointed this out to our waiter who stated, confidently, “Happy Hour is a wide window.” Deplorable, days before Christmas too. WOW Didn’t even want to sit and eat. The rest of our service was painfully slow, we watched other people getting service while we waited, waited, waited to get our table cleared and get the check. On principle we didn’t order more drinks. Word to the wise, if you arrive 15-30 minutes before the end of happy hour, order all your drinks. Otherwise, there is a chance you won’t leave happy.

I really enjoyed the vibes of this place, but the food was not fantastic. The vegetarian options are minimal, and they didn’t taste very good. The veggie quesadilla was bland, and the same does for the enchiladas. …

My partner and I came in one night because we were looking for Mexican food and little did we know we would find a place that might end up being my favorite spot in the city. The frozen drinks were amazing and the service was wonderful! …
